How Stress Can Cause You To Gain Weight
Weight loss can be severely affected by the amount of stress an individual has in his or her life.
Stress changes in intensiveness and can be made by such things as traffic, children, relationships, work issues, sickness or death in the family, as well as a whole host of other situations.
Stress can make serious physical ailments including increased blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, colds, flu, cancer, and additional diseases.
When an individual is stressed out about something, his body releases a substance called cortisol. Cortisol is a natural hormone that is essential for the fit operation of an individual body.
The trouble arises when the body releases increased quantities of cortisol. Stress causes the body to release increased measures of cortisol, and increased amounts of cortisol cause the body to gain weight, specially in the abdomen.
The good way to reduce stress is to exercise on a regular basis. Sometimes a long walk will take stress away from an individual life.
For this technique to work, a particular time needs to be set aside each day to walk. This will allow you to merely stop whatever it is you are doing, and walk away from it all, at least for a time.
The longer the walk, the longer you get away from it all. This is how you should train your mind to think. Often, individuals feel relaxed, calm, and stress-free after this walk. It would be ideal to find a friend who also likes to walk.
